A really exciting project we have been lucky to work on in the past is a series of branding and ‘welcome’ graphics for Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The graphics are printed over walls and windows all over the airport, and are fun and colourful to help brighten up the space. The graphics also help to keep promoting the European Capital of Culture title Liverpool was awarded in 2008!
Virginia is no virgin when it comes to freedom. This state has been a crucial piece of territory since its inception, and not only because it borders Washington DC. Known as the Mother of Presidents, Virginia has never had to shout to be heard. Buy Prints Here.
Brand USA unveiled the USA’s first-ever comprehensive marketing campaign today during a press conference at International Pow Wow, the largest U.S. travel trade show held this week in Los Angeles. The campaign showcases the diversity of experiences available in the United States in a fresh and unexpected light, inviting visitors to “Discover this land, like never before.”

I stumbled upon this group called Brainstorm, which has designed some stellar illustrated maps of regions of the USA. Definitely check them out, and if you feel so inclined, you can even purchase one for your wall.

Cook’s exploratory expeditions is a perfect blend of art and science, romanticism and reality. Both graphically and technologically, cartography has advanced, though. Think of Harry Beck’s London Underground map and Google Earth. In the process of mapping the context for a Copenhagen railway station revamp, I wanted precedents that were more schematic than the latter, but less ubiquitous than the former. What I found was refreshing in a time where satellite imagery and narrated navigation is the bow of the field that made its greatest advances on wooden ships.
